Our Redbacks Junior players were lucky to have awarded International Finnish player - Anne Suomalainen, joined with them at training recently on Tuesday night 9th June. Anne is currently in Perth on behalf of the Floorball Assoc of WA (FAWA) doing some coaching and training clinics with both senior & junior players of Floorball, and the Redbacks were able to secure Anne to join with our juniors and share some experience and information of Floorball.

Thanks to everyone for joining with us today at Riverton Leisureplex for the 'end of season / pre-season' club get together. It was a great day both for weather, fun and time together as a club.

The club took time to recognise our prior Elite season players, our retiring Goalkeep - Mike Erith, and also our junior players who were semi finalists & grand finalists at Revolutuons recently. Congrats to all our players and members for their continued support of both the sport of Floorball and the Redbacks Floorball Club overall.

And now we look forward to the new season of Elite with both A & B divisions, and this coming season will at last see the inclusion of a Junior Elite division also. Details will be advised in due course as we look to get team selections and pre-season training underway.

Once again our juniors have proven to be winners at the junior competition at Revolutions at Shenton Park with grand finals placings in 2009. Firstly our 14's team took out 1st placing in their grand final with a nail biting win against the Western Knights. And our 12's team took 3rd placing in the finals game against Blue Phoenix. Congrats to all our players who have played throughout the season, and also our new members recently joining with us. Congratulations also to our junior coaches who have been putting in their valuable time in training our junior teams each week. And special thanks to all the parents who tirelessly travelled each week to Revolutions. The Redbacks Floorball Club is again proud to have everyone as part of our great club.
